1. Information We Collect

When you use MatkaBook, we may collect the following information only as needed to provide the app's shopping and account features:

• Name and mobile number for account creation and order support.
• Email address, if provided by the user.
• Password or authentication information needed to protect the user account.
• Delivery address and order details for processing physical book orders.
• Cart, wishlist, payment status, order history, and support request details.
• Basic device and usage information such as IP address, pages visited, browser or WebView information, crash information, and time spent in the app.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Create and manage user accounts.
• Show book listings, cart, checkout, and order status.
• Process physical book orders and delivery requests.
• Enable payment flows, including UPI intent payments when selected by the user.
• Provide customer support and important service notifications.
• Improve security, prevent misuse, fix bugs, and improve app performance.

3. Payments

MatkaBook may open a UPI payment application chosen by the user to complete payment for physical book orders. Payment processing may be handled by the user's selected UPI app or payment service provider. MatkaBook does not store the user's UPI PIN, full bank login credentials, card PIN, or UPI app password.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal user data. We may share limited information only when necessary with:

• Delivery or logistics providers for shipping physical book orders.
• Payment service providers to complete user-initiated payments.
• Hosting, analytics, or technical service providers who help operate the app and website.
• Government or legal authorities if required by applicable law.

5. WebView Transparency

The Android application may display our official website inside a secure WebView. The same privacy practices apply to data submitted through the WebView and the website.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data. Data transmitted between the app and our services should be protected using HTTPS or similar modern security practices. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We keep account and order information only as long as needed for app functionality, order support, fraud prevention, security, accounting, tax, legal, or regulatory purposes. Some order or transaction records may be retained where required by law, even after account deletion.

8. Account and Data Deletion

Users can request deletion of their MatkaBook account and associated data by using our account deletion page or by contacting support.

When a deletion request is verified, we delete or anonymize account data associated with the account, except information that must be retained for legitimate reasons such as legal compliance, payment/order records, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and security.

9. Children

MatkaBook is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. User Choices

Users may stop data collection by uninstalling the app. Users may also contact us to access, correct, or delete their account information where applicable.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of MatkaBook after changes means the user accepts the updated policy.
